Objective setting

Six years ago when I went over to New Zealand as a fresh faced graduate I started writing a blog, 'Kiwis are not the only fruit'. I began with the best intentions but soon discovered that my obsessions with completeness and chronology were to create a blogger's block that was insurmountable for the 22 year old Ben that I was then. I felt this was a shame as I did enjoy blogging and I hope people enjoyed reading it; I just felt bound by it.

Around the time of reaching the last perfect age of my life (under current actuarial assumptions) I started to think that I would like to blog again. Rather than try to resurrect KANTOF, I have decided instead to start afresh. This gives me the freedom to set a new objective: to blog about what I want when I want. It is my hope that the blog entries will be interesting to the reader. I am fully aware that many of the entries will probably go unread, but keeping my readers in mind will hopefully keep me to the point and encourage me to consider the content more carefully before committing fingers to keyboards.

And so it begins... again...
